Rt. Hon. Muktar Betara Aliyu, OON, has reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and security of his constituents, using the occasion of Ramadan to deliver a message that blends caution, unity, and purposeful leadership.
In his Ramadan goodwill message to the people of Bayo, Biu, Kwaya Kusar, and Shani Local Government Areas, the lawmaker urged residents to celebrate with restraint, remain vigilant, and place a premium on collective security. He stressed that safeguarding lives and property is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation between citizens and security agencies.
The lawmaker also commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the strategic deployment of security chiefs to troubled areas, describing the move as timely and necessary in strengthening peace and stability. He further acknowledged the sustained support of Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, noting that collaborative leadership remains key to addressing security challenges in the region.
Beyond his message, Rt. Hon. Betara demonstrated his commitment to the livelihood of his people through a significant empowerment initiative. He disbursed the sum of Sixty Million Naira (₦60 million) to 300 stakeholders drawn from across the four local government areas, with each beneficiary receiving ₦200,000.
