GUNFIRE AT WHITE HOUSE DINNER: TRUMP CLAIMS HE WAS TARGET, SUSPECT FACES FEDERAL CHARGES

U.S. President Donald Trump has said he believes he was the intended target of a shooting incident that disrupted the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., sending shockwaves through the high-profile gathering.

Speaking after the incident, Trump revealed that an armed individual reportedly forced his way past a security checkpoint, allegedly carrying multiple weapons and clad in a bulletproof vest. The situation escalated quickly when gunshots rang out inside the venue.

Agents of the United States Secret Service acted swiftly, evacuating the president and First Lady Melania Trump to safety amid the chaos.

Authorities have since moved to take decisive legal action. Jeanine Pirro confirmed that the suspect is expected to face multiple charges, including the use of a firearm during a violent crime and assault on a federal officer with a dangerous weapon.

Despite the alarming breach, Trump maintained a defiant tone, insisting the incident would not hinder his administration’s agenda. He also confirmed that the suspect is now in custody.

Meanwhile, one Secret Service agent sustained injuries during the confrontation and is currently undergoing medical treatment. Officials say investigations are ongoing as security agencies review how the breach occurred at one of the nation’s most tightly secured events.
