The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Wednesday, November 19, 2025, as the commencement date for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course across all states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, registration for the orientation course will run from November 19 to midnight of Friday, November 21, 2025.
The statement further noted that the swearing-in ceremony for corps members will hold on Friday, November 21, while the closing ceremony has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
Embu added that the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has wished all prospective corps members safe travels to their various orientation camps. He also urged them to avoid night journeys to ensure their safety.
Earlier on Tuesday, the scheme announced the release of call-up numbers for the 2025 Batch C prospective corps members. The announcement, made via NYSC’s official X handle, stated that the call-up numbers were issued based on the order of registration.
However, the scheme disclosed that only about 40 per cent of registered prospective corps members would be accommodated in this batch due to limited capacity in orientation camps nationwide.
NYSC assured those not mobilised in the current batch that they would be included in the next exercise.
