Eze Hat-Trick Propels Arsenal to 4–1 Victory Over Tottenham

Arsenal strengthened their grip on the Premier League summit with a commanding 4–1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, thanks to a stunning hat-trick from new signing Eberechi Eze at the Emirates Stadium.

Leandro Trossard set the tone in the first half, controlling a pass before firing into the far corner to give Arsenal the lead. Moments later, Eze doubled the advantage with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, showcasing his sharpness in front of goal.

The midfielder wasted no time after the interval, netting his second goal just 35 seconds into the second half with a precise low shot that left Tottenham’s defence flat-footed.

Spurs briefly threatened to mount a comeback when Richarlison capitalised on a misplaced position by goalkeeper David Raya to score from long range, marking Tottenham’s first shot on target of the match.

Eze completed his historic hat-trick later in the game, calmly finishing to restore Arsenal’s three-goal cushion and becoming the first player to score a derby hat-trick in nearly five decades.

The win puts Arsenal six points clear at the top with 29 points from 12 matches, while Tottenham remain ninth on 18 points following their fourth defeat of the season. Arsenal have also equalled Manchester City’s tally of 24 goals scored so far this campaign.

Looking ahead, Arsenal will host Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday before a Premier League trip to Chelsea next weekend.
