Paris Saint-Germain have been directed by a French labour court to pay former forward Kylian Mbappe approximately €60 million in outstanding wages and bonuses.
The ruling was delivered on Tuesday, more than a year after the France captain ended his long association with the Ligue 1 champions and completed a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in June 2024.
Mbappe had initially sought more than €260 million from PSG, citing unpaid earnings and bonuses, while the Paris-based club countered with a claim demanding €440 million from the player. The court, however, awarded a significantly lower sum in Mbappe’s favour.
The tribunal also dismissed Mbappe’s argument that PSG had misclassified his contract under French labour law.
PSG have yet to indicate whether they will challenge the decision, as no immediate comment was made following the judgment.
