Dorgu Set For Lengthy Spell Out As Hamstring Injury Hits United

Manchester United have been dealt an injury setback after defender Patrick Dorgu was ruled out for around 10 weeks with a hamstring problem, raising concerns over the club’s defensive options in the weeks ahead.

Reports on Tuesday indicated that the Danish international sustained the injury during recent action and is expected to miss a significant stretch of the season. Football journalist Laurie Whitwell, quoted in a post shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X, confirmed the length of the layoff.

“Patrick Dorgu will be out for 10 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury,” Whitwell said.

The injury is understood to be serious enough to require an extended rehabilitation programme, with the club’s medical team set to manage his recovery carefully before he returns to full training.

Dorgu’s absence comes at a difficult time for United, as the defender had begun to establish himself as an important figure in the squad. He was instrumental in the club’s recent 3–2 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and had found the net in consecutive matches prior to picking up the injury.

Manchester United are expected to provide further updates on Dorgu’s condition as his recovery progresses in the coming weeks.
