Civic movement Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria has announced plans to commemorate its 15th anniversary with a major event scheduled for December 10 in Lagos.
Themed “Footprints & Frontlines,” the celebration will highlight the organisation’s journey of promoting citizen engagement and demanding accountable governance since its founding in 2010.
According to the organisers, “Footprints” represents EiE’s impact over the years — from organising nationwide protests and policy advocacy to creating civic tech tools, hosting radio town halls, and driving youth participation in elections.
“Frontlines,” on the other hand, symbolises the ongoing struggle for a better Nigeria — the work of reform and innovation taking place daily in classrooms, courtrooms, markets, media platforms, and online spaces where citizens continue to push for change through integrity and service.
The anniversary event will feature reflections and discussions on civic engagement, leadership, and governance. Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will headline the event as the keynote speaker.
The ceremony will be co-hosted by media personalities Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Ayo Mairo-Ese of Arise News.
EiE said the celebration aims to inspire renewed civic consciousness and strengthen the call for accountability and citizen-led governance across Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
