Liverpool Extend Alisson Stay Until 2027 After Activating Contract Clause

Liverpool FC have secured the future of goalkeeper Alisson Becker after activating the one-year extension option in his contract, keeping him at the club until June 2027.

The Brazilian’s previous agreement at Anfield was scheduled to end in the summer of 2026, but the club has now moved to extend the deal by an additional season.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that the extension clause in Alisson’s existing contract had been formally triggered.

Alisson joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2018 and has remained one of the club’s most influential players since arriving in English football.

The 33-year-old is widely regarded as one of the leading goalkeepers in world football and has played a central role in Liverpool’s major successes over the past several seasons

During his spell at Anfield, he has helped the club win major honours, including the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League.

By extending his stay, Liverpool retain one of their most experienced figures while maintaining continuity in a key position ahead of future campaigns
