Olisa Ndah Joins Stellenbosch In Short-Term Deal

Olisa Ndah has completed a move to South African side Stellenbosch FC on a contract running until the end of the current season, with an option for a one-year extension.

The club announced the arrival of the 28-year-old defender on Tuesday, describing the signing as a timely boost to its defensive options as the campaign enters a decisive stretch. Chief executive Rob Benadie said the recruitment aligns with the club’s long-term squad planning and reflects confidence in Ndah’s ability to contribute immediately.

Ndah returns to familiar territory in the Premier Soccer League after previously establishing himself as a reliable presence at the back for Orlando Pirates. His earlier spell in the division earned praise for consistency and composure, although injury setbacks later restricted his involvement and slowed his progress.

Following the expiration of his Pirates contract, the defender issued a farewell message thanking supporters, staff and teammates, closing a chapter that included domestic title pursuits and continental appearances.

At Stellenbosch, Ndah adds to the club’s Nigerian contingent and becomes the latest in a line of compatriots to feature for the Maroons. He has been handed the No. 99 jersey and is in line to make his debut as early as Wednesday when Stellenbosch host Magesi FC in a Betway Premiership fixture at the Danie Craven Stadium.

Coach Gavin Hunt is expected to lean on Ndah’s experience as the team seeks defensive stability while fighting to distance itself from the relegation zone. The task has grown more urgent following the club’s recent elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, leaving domestic competitions as their primary focus for the remainder of the season.

For Ndah, the switch offers an opportunity to rebuild momentum, re-establish his reputation, and prove he can still perform at the level that once ranked him among the league’s standout defenders.
