Osimhen Hits 200 Career Goals As Galatasaray Thrash Kayserispor

Victor Osimhen reached a major personal milestone on Sunday as Galatasaray cruised to a commanding 4–0 victory over Kayserispor, strengthening their position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

The Nigerian striker scored the 200th goal of his professional career during a dominant team performance. His tally includes 165 goals at club level and 35 for the Super Eagles, underlining his consistency for both club and country. Osimhen’s influence throughout the match earned him the Man of the Match award.

League leaders Galatasaray set the tone early, forcing an opening goal inside the first seven minutes. Kayserispor defender Aaron Opoku accidentally diverted the ball into his own net while trying to clear a dangerous cross, handing the hosts an early advantage.

Osimhen soon made his mark on the scoresheet. In the 26th minute, he won a penalty after being brought down in the box and calmly converted from the spot to double the lead and secure his landmark 200th career goal.

After the break, the forward remained central to Galatasaray’s attacking rhythm. Shortly after the hour mark, he launched a quick counterattack, drawing defenders before setting up Gabriel Sara, who finished neatly to put the result beyond doubt at 3–0.

The scoring was completed later in the second half when Galatasaray earned another penalty, which Mauro Icardi converted to seal the emphatic win.

Osimhen was substituted in the 82nd minute after delivering a complete performance. He recorded an 88 percent pass accuracy rate, created two clear chances, and registered seven shots on target in addition to his goal and assist.

The victory keeps Galatasaray firmly in control of the title race, while Osimhen’s milestone night further highlights his status as one of Africa’s most influential forwards.
