Super Falcons Line Up Cameroon Friendlies Ahead Of WAFCON

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will take on the Cameroon women’s national football team in two international friendlies as part of their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Both matches are scheduled for Yaoundé, with fixtures fixed for February 28 and March 3.

The arrangements were confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation, whose General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi said preparations had been finalised in collaboration with the Cameroonian federation. He explained that the games form part of a broader plan to sharpen the squad ahead of continental competition and the race for global qualification.

Cameroon’s football authorities welcomed the encounter, describing it as an opportunity to deepen sporting ties and provide high-level competition for both sides.

The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will serve as a pathway to the next global tournament, with all four semi-finalists earning automatic tickets to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Nigeria head into the preparatory fixtures as defending continental champions after lifting their 10th title at the last edition.

The upcoming friendlies are expected to offer technical crews from both countries an early test of squad depth and tactical readiness ahead of the tournament window.
