The National Youth Service Corps has announced the release of deployment details for the 2026 Batch A Stream 1 prospective corps members, confirming that call-up letters can now be accessed online.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Monday, the scheme disclosed that some corps members assigned to Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory would undergo orientation in camps outside their primary deployment locations.
According to the NYSC, prospective corps members posted to Lagos will be distributed across orientation camps in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, and Osun states, while those deployed to the FCT will attend camp in Kaduna, Niger, and Nasarawa states.
The decision, the scheme explained, was necessitated by limited accommodation space in the affected camps, noting that only about 40 per cent of registered prospective corps members could be accommodated in the upcoming orientation exercise.
The NYSC also advised corps members to avoid travelling at night to their respective camps, urging them to prioritise safety while embarking on their journey.
Additionally, the scheme reminded them to print and sign all required documents before arriving at camp to ensure a smooth registration process.
In another advisory, the NYSC warned that prospective corps members with inconsistencies in their records would not be registered. It specifically cited discrepancies between the graduation date on call-up letters and that on the Statement of Results as a ground for denial of registration.
Affected individuals were advised to resolve such issues with their respective Student Affairs Officers before reporting to camp.
The scheme also provided guidelines for married female prospective corps members, stating that those not posted to their husband’s state of residence should report to the nearest orientation camp for registration.
For those seeking concessional posting based on marital grounds, the NYSC directed them to upload supporting documents, including a marriage certificate, husband’s identification, and a letter of domicile.
Meanwhile, the NYSC reiterated its stance against indiscipline, warning that any form of misconduct would not be tolerated as the 2026 Batch A orientation course begins nationwide on January 21.
