The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that its air component under Operation HADIN KAI carried out targeted airstrikes in the Yuwe axis of the Sambisa Forest, resulting in the elimination of several террорист elements.
This was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, who noted that military operations in the North-East remain intensified.
According to him, the strikes were conducted following credible intelligence supported by surveillance and reconnaissance efforts, which confirmed the presence of террорист fighters operating from fortified positions and bunkers within the area.
Air assets deployed precision-guided munitions on the identified targets, destroying key инфраструктure, neutralising multiple fighters, and disrupting logistics supply chains, as verified through post-strike assessments.
Ejodame stated that the sustained air campaign has continued to weaken insurgent networks, forcing them into increasingly defensive and reactive positions.
He also conveyed remarks from the Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Aneke, who reiterated the force’s commitment to maintaining pressure on террорист groups through intelligence-led operations.
“We remain focused on safeguarding national security and protecting citizens. Air operations will continue in line with established rules of engagement, with efforts to minimise civilian casualties,” Aneke said.
