Konrad Laimer had given Bayern an early lead, meeting a Michael Olise delivery with a deft flick that left goalkeeper Alexander Nübel with no chance. Stuttgart thought they had levelled through Nikolas Nartey just before halftime, but the midfielder’s header was ruled out for offside.
With Bayern holding only a narrow advantage, manager Vincent Kompany introduced a triple substitution on the hour mark, bringing on top scorer Kane. The decision proved instantly effective. Five minutes after entering the pitch, the England captain unleashed a precise 25-yard strike that nestled into the bottom corner.
Momentum shifted firmly in Bayern’s favour. Substitute Josip Stanisic added a third before Kane struck again from the penalty spot, following a handball that saw Lorenz Assignon sent off.
Kane rounded off his treble in the 87th minute, darting ahead of his marker to convert another pinpoint cross from Olise. His tally for the season now stands at 17 league goals—comfortably ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jonathan Burkardt in the race for the Golden Boot.
