ADC Unveils New Secretariat, Reaffirms Commitment to Democratic Growth
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday inaugurated its new national secretariat in Abuja, describing the development as a major step toward strengthening democratic governance and improving internal party organisation.
Speaking at the ceremony, the party’s chairman, Senator David Mark, said the complex would serve as a central hub for strategic planning, leadership grooming, and policy development. He noted that the facility represents more than just a physical structure, but a symbol of the party’s long-term commitment to national service and democratic consolidation.
“This complex will be a central hub where strategies are developed, ideas matured, leaders emerge, and policies are shaped to strengthen democracy nationwide,” he said.
Mark stressed that the party remains focused on building a Nigeria where institutions work effectively, governance is transparent, and citizens experience the benefits of accountable leadership. He described the inauguration as a demonstration of unity, renewed purpose, and the ADC’s determination to play a constructive role in the nation’s political evolution.
He urged party members to uphold justice, equity, and public service, adding that the party must champion politics that prioritises the wellbeing of citizens over partisan divisions.
According to him, the ADC intends to redefine political participation by promoting responsibility, integrity, and accountability within its ranks.
“My message is simple: our actions will be anchored on character, courage, competence, discipline, and integrity, as we redefine political engagement and institutional conduct in service of the Nigerian people,” Mark stated.
He added that the unveiling of the new secretariat was driven by humility and faith in democratic ideals, expressing hope that the facility would enhance the party’s contribution to national development and democratic stability.
