Soludo Meets Tinubu in Abuja, Thanks President for Support During Anambra Election

Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to express his gratitude following the recently concluded gubernatorial election in the state.

The meeting was made public on Friday by the governor’s press secretary, Christian Aburime, who briefed journalists in Awka.

According to Aburime, President Tinubu warmly received Soludo, describing the encounter as a reunion between two longtime associates who have maintained a friendship spanning over 22 years.

During the visit, President Tinubu reiterated his congratulations to the governor, commending him for his decisive victory in the election. Soludo secured 73 percent of the votes, according to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

It is not the first time the President has publicly acknowledged Soludo’s win. Shortly after the election, Tinubu issued a congratulatory message praising the conduct of the poll and the decisive mandate given to the governor.

The visit further underscores the cordial relationship between the two leaders and comes as political observers continue to assess post-election alignments across the country.
