President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as he turns 58 on December 13.
In a statement released on Saturday and signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended the former Rivers State governor for a career marked by determination, courage and dedicated public service.
The President described Wike as a bold and results-driven leader, highlighting his role in advancing the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory through an extensive infrastructure renewal programme.
Tinubu specifically referenced Wike’s recent intervention that resolved a long-standing 14-year delay in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, describing it as a significant achievement.
He praised the minister’s resilience, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, noting his consistency in delivering projects and reforms with visible impact.
According to the President, Wike has emerged as one of the standout performers in the current cabinet, redefining infrastructure development in the FCT and living up to his reputation as “Mr Project” beyond his home state of Rivers.
Tinubu also acknowledged Wike’s support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, despite their different political affiliations, and wished him continued strength and fulfilment.
The President concluded by wishing the FCT Minister good health, renewed energy and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve the nation.
