Mission 90 Million Congress endorses Adeleke for second term

A non-governmental organisation, the Mission 90 Million Congress of Nigeria, has declared its support for Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The endorsement was announced during a meeting of the organisation’s Osun State coordinators held in Lagos, where members of the national leadership praised what they described as the governor’s people-oriented leadership and visible achievements in key sectors of the state.

Addressing the meeting, the organisation’s President, Comrade Sunday Adebisi, alongside the General Secretary, Alhaji Moruf Akinola, and the Osun State Women Leader, Chief Mrs Oyeyemi Funke, called on members to mobilise support for the governor across Osun State and among indigenes living outside the state.

Comrade Adebisi pointed to what he described as notable infrastructural developments under the current administration, including road projects, borehole installations and various community-based initiatives.

He also commended the government’s handling of workers’ welfare, noting the regular payment of salaries and pensions, which he said had improved morale in the public service.

According to him, social intervention programmes such as grants and business support schemes have boosted grassroots economic activities, while reforms in the health sector, including free surgical services and a health insurance scheme for pensioners, have improved access to healthcare.

The group further highlighted investments in agriculture and efforts to reduce the state’s debt burden, describing them as signs of prudent and sustainable governance.

The Mission 90 Million Congress said its decision to endorse the governor was based on performance rather than political affiliation, stressing that it supports leadership and policies that promote inclusive development and economic growth.

The organisation noted that Governor Adeleke’s record since assuming office on November 27, 2022, justified its support, and pledged to mobilise its nationwide membership to enlighten Osun residents and indigenes on his achievements.

It also urged voters to disregard what it described as misinformation from political opponents.

Reiterating its confidence in the current administration, the group said it remained committed to working towards Governor Adeleke’s re-election in 2026, describing his leadership as impactful on the development of Osun State.
