Apc Rallies Support For Tinubu in Oyo Ahead Of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State on Monday converged on Ogbomoso to mobilise members in the zone to endorse President Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Led by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Team under Senator Teslim Folarin, party stakeholders resolved to visit all seven geopolitical zones and fourteen federal constituencies in the state to strengthen support for the president and the APC ahead of the polls.

At an open-air rally held at Soun Hall, Ogbomoso, speakers emphasised the importance of unity among party leaders and members as essential for electoral success. Senator Folarin, a former Senate leader, urged members to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to grassroots communities, highlighting the need to educate citizens on the quality of leadership provided by the president since assuming office.

“Our mission here today is to show the world that Oyo State fully embraces the Renewed Hope Agenda and the spirit of love and togetherness in our party. At the appropriate time, we will mobilise voters across the state for the 2027 general elections, ensuring a total victory for the APC,” Folarin said.

Ambassador-designate Florence Ajimobi also called on party members to promote unity and peace. “The APC remains the only formidable political party in the state, and the current atmosphere of peace will be nurtured and sustained as all key stakeholders work together for the re‑election of our president and to return the APC to Agodi Government House in 2027,” she stated.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the high point of the meeting was the formal endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term and the induction of hundreds of defectors from other parties into the APC.

The new members were drawn from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo-Oluwa, and Surulere local government councils.

Prominent attendees included APC Oyo State chairman Alhaji Olayide Abas, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power, former deputy governors Chief Iyiola Oladokun, Chief Alake Adeyemo, and Alhaji Rauf Olaniyan, as well as Senators Abdulfatai Buhari, Sarafadeen Alli, Yunus Akintunde, and Ayoade Adeseun.

Other notable participants were Chief Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, Sen. Hosea Agboola, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Chief Akin Oke, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, Hon. Olamiju Alao-Akala, Dr. Akin Onigbinde, SAN, Hon. Olagunju Ojo, and Hon. Asimiyu Alarape
