Ganduje Returns From Dubai, Plans Political Consultations In Kano

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress and immediate past Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria after spending several weeks on vacation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ganduje arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Saturday at about 4:30pm aboard an Emirates Airlines flight. He later travelled to Abuja the same day, arriving at about 8pm.

Sources close to the former APC chairman said he is expected to begin a round of consultations and meetings with key stakeholders, with particular focus on recent political developments in Kano State.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, it was disclosed that the engagements would involve wide-ranging discussions with party leaders and other influential stakeholders as part of efforts to assess the changing political environment.

The statement also noted that Ganduje would take part in the ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration exercise of the APC.

According to the statement, the e-registration initiative was introduced during Ganduje’s tenure as national chairman to modernise the party’s membership system, improve internal planning, and ensure the credibility and accessibility of membership records.

It added that the former governor remains committed to strengthening party structures and encouraging broad-based dialogue in support of democratic development within the APC, particularly in Kano State.
