Eighteen working committees in the state each received N10 million, amounting to N180 million, while twenty-four non-working committees were given N5 million each, totalling N120 million. The state party chairman also received N20 million, bringing total support to committees to N320 million.
Beyond these committees, Betara extended financial assistance to councillorship contestants across his constituency. In Biu Local Government Area, 24 contestants were given N500,000 each, while four senior party stalwarts received N2.5 million each, bringing the total for Biu to N14.5 million. Contestants in Kwaya Kusar received N7 million, those in Bayo received N9.5 million, and those in Shani received N12 million. In all, refunds to councillorship aspirants and key party figures across the four LGAs amounted to N50.5 million.
His support also reached officials who conducted affirmation exercises during the party’s internal processes. In each of the four local governments: Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Bayo, and Shani – chairmen, secretaries, and committee members collectively received N12.5 million, making a total of N50 million for all four LGAs.
The disbursement, totalling N413 million, was aimed at fostering cohesion within the party, encouraging internal democracy, and appreciating the sacrifices of members and officials at all levels. It was not the first time the lawmaker had taken such an initiative, as he has consistently demonstrated a pattern of responsive and people-oriented leadership over the years.
