The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has convened a troubleshooting session with the two rival factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at its Abuja headquarters.
The meeting, currently in progress, brings together the Tanimu Turaki-led group and the Abdulrahman Mohammed faction backed by Nyesom Wike.
Turaki was accompanied by members of his National Working Committee (NWC), secretariat staff, and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu. Mohammed’s delegation included members of his national caretaker committee, notably the secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu.
The session aims to address ongoing disputes within the party and explore pathways toward internal reconciliation ahead of upcoming political activities.
